CREATIVE
Creative work, guided by experienced professionals.
In the evenings, try-outs for (our own) audience can be given in the ‘Feuerstube’. We’ll work towards informal performances at the end of the week. One of these is in the 11th century local church.
Fridaynight we’ll have a communal supper, traveling companions welcome too. Saturdays will be available for travellin
Daily from 10h30 we decide together what repertoire will when and where be exercized. Plenary or in small groups.
In & from our homebase: the covered and enclosed ‘Pavilion’. Vocal and guitar amps, PA, keyboard and percussion available.
Singers, choir, strings and windinstruments can be lead strictly. Extended arrangements can be made.
Pieter van Leeuwen teaches social professionals how to work with creativity, especially music, at the HAN University of Applies Sciences (Nijmegen, NL).
He is all-round musician and experienced band coach, arranges music and loves humor.
ABOUT US
No experience requirered, enthousiasm the more!
Musical experience will be welcomed, but if not, you’ll be welcome too. But we feel that creativity accelerates by diversity & challenges. So we pursue different musical levels and nationalities, chamber music to pop/rock, youngsters plus elderlies. Minimum age is 13 years.
The group will be small (10-20), so lots of individual coaching and support can be given. Music-lessons cannot be expected.
Because participants from different countries are being expected, the main language will be (poorly) english.
At the heart of Jutland, Vammen Camping will be our host. An authentic medium-sized and family-owned holiday centre. Situated in a protected unspoilt nature reserve, on the 9 km long Tjele Langsø Lake, some 350 km / 200 miles above Hamburg, Germany. Also to be reached by train (Aarhus, Aalborg): transfer from a mileage fee can be arranged.
Music plays an important role here. Every evening the fireplace is lit in the “Feuerstube”, where guests can make music together, or play a game or just chat.
Activities are organised for all ages and there are various facilities, including a large raft, sauna and beach volleyball. Walk- & cycletours available. Historic highlights (Viking) too.
Aarhus is at an hour’s drive: Denmark’s second largest city and one of the nicest destinations for a city break in Denmark. The convivial student city has streets full of cosy cafés and shops and some wonderful museums. A half day’s visit to this city with an experienced guide will be part of the program.
